Airport Assistance Services

Fast Track Assistance

We move you through check-in and security quickly, particularly useful as passenger numbers grow alongside the airport's ongoing terminal upgrades.

Meet and Greet

Your greeter meets you right at arrivals or check-in and guides you along the walkway or inter-terminal bus if you need to move between international and domestic.

Lounge Access

We arrange entry into the Strata Lounge (international) or the Air New Zealand Lookout Lounge, even without matching airline status.

VIP Airport Assistance

For a fully private experience, we coordinate dedicated escort through check-in, security, and boarding.

Family & Special Needs

Auckland Airport is equipped to handle special-needs travelers and small medical emergencies — our team arranges wheelchair support and any assistance you need in advance.

Baggage & Porter Help

We handle your bags from check-in to gate, or claim to your ride, across the terminal's considerable distances.

Transit Assistance

For connections through Auckland, we manage your transfer between the international and domestic terminals via the free bus or walkway, plus any rebooking support.

Layover & Connection Tips

  • The terminals are connected by a free 24-hour bus or a 1km open-air walkway — the walkway takes about 10 minutes on foot if the weather's decent.
  • A major dining refresh is underway in the international terminal's airside departures area, so expect some new names and a few familiar favorites staying put through 2026.
  • The Strata Lounge is the go-to pay-per-use international lounge, with locally sourced fresh food and bookable private relaxation rooms — book online 24 hours ahead for the best rate.
  • The domestic terminal only has one lounge, the Koru Lounge, and it only opens an hour before the first flight until the last departure — plan around that if you're flying domestic.
  • Free showers are available in both the international and domestic terminals — a genuinely nice perk if you've just landed from a long-haul flight.
  • Free Wi-Fi covers both terminals, so a local SIM isn't essential for a short layover.
  • There are currently no 24-hour dining options, so if you're on a very early or late flight, plan your meal timing around the airport's operating hours.
  • The landside KFC and McDonald's are staying put through the ongoing upgrades, alongside a rebranded café-bar-restaurant called The Social replacing the old Oma's Bakery and Blue Marble Bar.
  • Recommended minimum layover: around 2 hours given the terminal distances, more if you're transferring between international and domestic.
  • The Air New Zealand Lookout Lounge, on Level 2 near the departure gates, offers a full buffet and bar — worth asking about if you're Air New Zealand eligible.
